In place of our traditional December Pops this year’s winter concert travels back in time to the Baroque, when liturgical and secular music for holidays and feast days was a central part of life. The talents of our principal players will be center stage in music by Bach, including two of his famous Brandenburg Concertos and selections from his glorious cantatas for Christmas. Our historical holidays will also include traditional carols from France and favorite movements from Handel’s Messiah featuring vocalists Jeff Brich, tenor, Jean McDonald, mezzo soprano, and Kaethe Henning, soprano.
