Picture this: the WCFSO offers a unique spin on a hugely popular symphonic work. (Probably not so hard to picture if you've attended a recent concert.) This program features Mussorgsky's oft-arranged piano masterwork Pictures at an Exhibition in a rarely-heard version made just after the composer's death and accompanied by a groundbreaking video presentation. Our series of WCFSO soloists continues with principal percussionist Michael Pawlak, who provides us with a rare opportunity to hear a live performance of Joseph Schwantner's celebrated Percussion Concerto.
