Meeting the harpsichord

March 6, 2018

Jason Weinberger with the next generation of harpsichord fans!

Thanks to all the curious young listeners who joined us last weekend for our final free Lollipop concert of the season. If It Ain't Baroque, our exploration of this magnificent instrument and the music that Bach composed for it, was a hit with about 80 kids and their family members. Special gratitude is due Hugh Peterson and the Black Hawk County Gaming Association for their gifts in support of the acquisition of our beautiful Thomas Pixton harpsichord which we share with our community as often as we can!

As we close another Lollipop season, a shout out to our amazing Lollipop series sponsors who make it possible for us to offer our community these experiences free of charge: Tri-County Child and Family Development Council, Inc., The Cedar Falls Community Foundation's Kathryn Ray Fund for the Cedar Falls Public Library, the RJ McElroy Trust, and an anonymous donor!
