Auditions

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony will be holding auditions for several instruments at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center in Cedar Falls.

Additional info:

• Section Rates $94.37 per service
• Principal Rates: $116.29 per service
• Mileage: Travel allowance will be paid to drivers at a rate of 30 cents per mile for musicians who live outside of a fifteen-mile radius from the rehearsal or performance venue with no additional mileage provided beyond 240 miles round-trip.
• Housing: Housing options are available for musicians living more than 75 miles outside of the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area in lieu of mileage on days when services end after 6:00pm.

Sub-list Player Auditions

We accept sub‑list auditions on a continual, rolling basis. Please refer to the audition list above. Auditioners for the sub-list need only to prepare those excerpts marked with an asterisk. Substitute‑only auditions may be completed in person or via video submission. Video submissions must include all listed excerpts for the instrument.

Video recordings must not be edited in any capacity. Please record the entire audition in a single, continuous take.

All videos should be uploaded to YouTube as either public or unlisted links. Please email the video link along with a 1 page resume to the personnel manager, Matt Andreini, at (mandreini@wcfsymphony) .
