Auditions

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony will be holding auditions for Principal Trumpet and Principal Tuba at the Gallagher Bluedorn Performing Arts Center in Cedar Falls on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

2025-26 Rates

Principal Rates:
$115.68 per service

Mileage: Travel allowance will be paid to drivers at a rate of 30 cents per mile for musicians who live outside of a fifteen-mile radius from the rehearsal or performance venue with no additional mileage provided beyond 240 miles round-trip.
Housing: Housing options are available for musicians living more than 75 miles outside of the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area in lieu of mileage on days when services end after 6:00pm.

Contracted musicians are asked to commit to 75% of the total number of full orchestra services at which their instrument is required for any given performance season.
